The A Style F Hole Mandolin

The A style mandolin with holes was introduced by Gibson in the early 1920's giving a far richer sound than the existing oval hole instruments.

Generally finished in a brown sunburst finish, this particular one I've kept as natural to best show the figured maple back, side and neck and the attractive bear-claw effect on the spruce top. The top is tone bar braced and both top and back are carved and tap tuned.

A very versatile mandolin suitable for all styles from classical to bluegrass.
