project for mandolinist and tutor Dan Norton in Rugby.
The octave
mandolin, as its name suggests, is a normal F5 style
mandolin but tuned an octave lower.
Larger than
the mandolin and mandola this instrument has a scale length
of 560mm and produces a very rich and deep sound.
